Emotionally I have been feeling down due to family circumstances. How does this affect my training schedule?

During times of emotional stress we should reduce the intensity of our training schedule. You should not add physical stress with mental or emotional stress. By doing so, you increase your risk for injury and also may be more likely to quit your training program. Exercise should enhance our well-being. So, during times of emotional or mental stress we should bring down the intensity and take things easy in our training. Your body will tell you when it is time to increase your level of intensity again.
