What can I do to reduce the pain in my quads after running?

A rule of thumb is that if joints or muscle pain persists for more than one hour after running, you should ease back on your training. Reduce the distance and frequency of your workouts to allow your body the needed rest. Remember, to improve the strength of our muscles, we must first place a stress on it and then allow our muscles to rebuild stronger through the process of rest and nutrition . If we have pain after training, clearly our bodies are over fatigued and no rebuilding is taking place. Therefore, your workout is not improving your fitness level.
